Can someone please help...?

My 6 month old kitten sometimes has blood in his poo, he eats very well, is wormed regularly, has no fleas, has a very good coat, is bright eyed, active and loving, all the things a healthy cat should be exept for the blood. It isnt all the time, but some times it "seeps" out and I have to wipe his bum. I cant get an appointment at the vet until next week and I am quite worried. I have spider plants in the house and I have caught him chewing them and have moved them now, could this habit be a contributing factor?

Can someone please help...?
I agree with the previous answer, sounds just like colitus. Put him on a diet of boiled chicken until you can get to the vets, your kitten has a sensitive stomach because hes so young, he prob ally ate something yucky and has caused this condition. Vet will put him on a course of antibiotics and hell be good as new. Cats are not poisoned by spider plants, but are by Lillies so beware of them. Good luck!
Reply:Keep the appointment your vet gave you. You might ask to be put on a cancellation list just in case someone cancels their appointment. If the vet thought it was urgent, they would squeeze you in between appointments.
Reply:Take your cat to the hospital immediately.
Reply:cats are always trying to eat all kinds of junk.my cat climbs trees so she can suck on the branches.i bought her a drum stick so she can have clean wood 'but she wants the tree wood.. i think kitty just is a little constipated ....that's good that you moved those plants as you don;t know if their harmful or not,,,,LOL
Reply:Please please take it to another vets asap this does not seem healthy or right just get it checked out quickly as it could be something serious!!!! GOOD LUCK
Reply:It sounds like your kitten could have a stomach infection. I would phone the vet and get the appointment brought forward. They will do that if you tell them it's urgent. It's not wise to ignore this.
Reply:Hiya, Sounds like your kitty has colitis, this happens with kittens/cats, your vet will sort him out with antibiotics i think its when food is too rich for them. Just try to give him chicken, fish. Hope he gets better soon.
Reply:I'd advise you to take him to the Vets ASAP, even if you have to book in elsewhere. Having said that it may just be that your cat has a sensitive tummy, some kittens do and may bleed slightly if they eat too much or eat something thats too rich. It's always best to be sure though so please book him in somewhere soon.

Hope he's ok, let us know. Pud xx
Reply:I would suggest trying another vet and getting it in ASAP. It could be any number of things. My cat ate a ribbon today from a floral bouquet and it now having emergency surgery at 7pm tonight. If you have things it could have eaten please have it checked. Cats eat bad things because they don't know any better.
Reply:Tell the vet it's urgent and they will see you much sooner.
Reply:Yes keep your plants up from him there are alot of house plants that are not at all good for cat and can make them very sick but due get him looked at by a vet good luck
Reply:Don't panic - it couuld well be because he has had a little trouble going to the toilet (perhaps a little constipated...maybe he/she hasn't had much water).....just get an appointment when you can but try not to worry. This often happens with my two cats.
