I am starting some seeds inside, and am worried about insects.?

I recently had a plant attacked by spider mites in that room. I also have a ficus and a calla lily that the mites didn't seem to go for. Should I do anything to try and make sure the mites don't come back for the seedlings?

Thanks!

spray your ficus with a mixture of one fourth rubbing alcohol three parts water and one teaspoon of soft antibacterial soap. note; do not use soap with decreases like Palmolive. make sure you get under the leaves.your ficus may have them, you just cant see the damage.mites suck on the leave (like a tick) leaving what looks like spots.look under your leaves for shiny little specks.so small most cant be seen by the untrained eye.do not spray mixture on seedlings. mist seedlings with water in a spray bottle, mites don't like water and your sprouts will love the humidity.
Reply:I have never known mites to be a problem for seedlings.

It will most likely take so long for the mites to find the seedlings, they will have moved on to the great outdoors (That's even assuming they seedlings would be growing into a plant the mites are attracted to)
