Caterpillars?

there are little caterpillars on my ficus kinky (20 cm, newly bought) and they are eating all the green stuff away! I can't take this, i mean, i've searched the little pot plant for more caterpillars, but they only just pop up! ew! ( i take them away but there are more coming)

what should I do? bring it back to the seller? throw it away?

i love that pot plant and i HATE caterpillars and spiders (childhood traumas, you know ^.-)

Caterpillars?
I doubt the nursery would cover that type of damage. You could try spraying it with a pesticide. There is a website that sells different types of them and they have a bugman you can email and ask questions to. That website might help you with your problem. I've used it for a couple of different bug problems I've had.
Reply:If it is that new bring it back to the seller and raise hell there for giving you an infested plant. Pop a plastic bag over it to keep the bugs away from you if that is an issue.

If you don't mind getting close then stand it in the tub and sponge strong soapy water onto it and then rinse it with a warm shower. There are even some medicated soap solutions made for that purpose.
Reply:get a pet bird to eat them all
Reply:Lions and Tigers and Bears Oh! My, where do you think caterpillars come from, guess, little worms, look really, really good, in the dirt, you see those little crawly things, there future caterpillars. Remember the story of the chicken or the egg.....Well! so much for childhood traumas.

Now, if this plant is worth less than $1.95 at Sam's Club or Wal-Mart then go buy a new one because it's infected and your not going to be able to disinfect it. Clean everything up in and around where it was, all plants also and toss them Honey, start over.
