What type of leaf is a spider plant classified as?what's it missing?

Spider plants (Chlorophytum) have typical monocot leaves with parallel veins. The leaves form a rosette and have leaf sheaths. They don't have petioles (stalk that attaches leaf blade to stem) or hairs, like many dicot leaves you might be familiar with.

spiderwort family..........leaves alternate, entire, lanceovate to linear, amplexicaul or vaginate.
Reply:leaves are basal, linear, hooded acute. They lack a peduncle.
