What are the little white bugs that look like spiders (because of web) in my indoor ivy plant?

They are called spider mites.. and you can get rid of them with a spray bottle ful of dish soap and water mix.. make sure that you spray top parts of leaves and the underside also.. also spray a little bit on the soil in your pots.. this should pretty much take care of them.. do this about once a week until they are all gone.. do it on your normal watering days. will help you not to forget.

Probably aphids. A somewhat non toxic spray is to soak some tobbacco in water and spray them down. Works if done right.
Reply:Spidermites. Get a good spray and just kill em.
Reply:Maybe they are aphids.
Reply:the best way to get rid of spider mites is:spray your plant with 10% alcohol and water with 2 drops of a soft soap.spider-mites are like leaches they suck the life out of your plant .wash your leaves top and bottom, with spray.continue treatment one a week, for a month best results.once you get under control .use your spray bottle to mist it, this will keep them away.
Reply:I think Ivies are more susceptible to these bugs than many plants! That's my experience anyways! I usually treat them with soapy water in a misting bottle. I usually fill my little squirter with water and then add the dish soap, a fair amount of it, the squirt! I have also read that you can also use rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab and apply it directly.
