Is it possible to grow a "spider" plant from the large roots, in a dead planter?

If the planter has had spider plants growing in it, and all the above plants are dead, it is possible to check if any roots are still living. clean out all the dead stuff on top of the dirt, then carefuly losen the dirt in the pot. If there are any white colored roots or green ones, there is a good chance you can get them to grow again. Spider plants are pretty tough plants, and easy to get started. Just take those roots that look alive and put them back into the dirt, soak the dirt with mirical grow and water mix. Then water about every 3 days. Hope that helps!

Better than using the roots, which may be dead, snip off a few baby spiders and suspend their roots in shallow water for a week or two. When the roots begin to grow long, plant them and you'll have a fresh new plant for each baby.
