How do I coax a spider plant to grow faster?

Well, this is a family secret but I think that I could spare some wisdom for the poor people. Ok, well my name is R. Fotraz Mickleweed. But you sir, you are the purpose why I am here. Every plant is beautiful in there special way. I find that if you love and caress it, it grows much more healthier. Even if you lick it a couple times a day it helps.... But you decide for yourself. Because that is where the matter lies.... within your heart.....

Thank you, I may now rest in peace.

How do I coax a spider plant to grow faster?
Bigger pot, more water, more light, A little miracle-gro will help too.
Reply:talk to it..lol no seriously...we breath out carbon dioxide in which plants need to grow..everyday if you talk to it or sing a song to it (whatever tickles your pickle) it will grow better.
Reply:High nitrogen fertilizer, cut off sucker babies to root and make new plants.Lot of sun and water.
Reply:Use a bit of fertilizer and a grow light. Grow lights can be purchased at supply stores like Lowe's or Home Depot.
Reply:Feed it Flies

put into a bigger pot fertilize it water till it drips 3 times a week
Reply:What rjohnson said, plus keep the temperature up, in the 80s, and the humidity up. And, direct sunlight!
Reply:If your plant has the stems with the little plantlets on it, cut them off near the base of the stem. The plantlets take some energy that the plant could use to grow bigger and faster itself. If this is the case, you can take the plantlets and put them in a dish or glass of water (only the very bottom of the plant) and they will produce roots. Then you'll have more spider plants to either give away or have fun with yourself.

In general, I like to water all my houseplants with a diluted Miracle Grow fertilizer every time I water. If your spider plant has brown tips, that is one sign you might want to give it some more fertilizing. Just don't water it too much in the winter or they get those ugly brown streaks on their leaves.
Reply:Add miracle grow to the soil. It really does work.
Reply:fertilize soil w/fert spike like miracle gro etc. put your spider in clear plastic bag and seal at top (twist tie) put in warm sunny spot for afew days and check daily (green house effect)
