Can you identify this spider?

Its web is nothing like a traditional spiderweb, instead it sort of tunnels down.

I found this spider on the shady side of the house, in some plants.

The spider was black, and I could not tell if there were any markins.

I found it in Saskatchewan, Canada. I don't know if that will help any.

Please can somebody help me figure out what type of spider it was?

Can you identify this spider?
The spider probably belongs to the family Agelenidae (funnel web/grass spiders. Here are a couple of photos of Agelenidae. There are many varieties of this family of spiders and many do live in Saskatchewan.
