Modern miracles ? miracles still happening?

I say they do, what say you? Life repeating itself, single cells double, spiders take matter and recreate a substance stronger than steel fiber. plants take sunlight,water, and nutrients out of the soil, and give us food, and medicine, spices for taste and cure. They perform miracles using something and changing it, but God takes nothing ( which is impossible to seek and find in the universe) and creates, All of it miracles, and still occuring, the unborn,unconcieved, come out of nothing.

Modern miracles ? miracles still happening?
God healed me 8 years ago right after I got saved.

Both my knees were pretty bad............I couldn't crouch like a baseball catcher does.



Then one night..........I just did it at His command (Through the Holy Spirit).....and I was healed.



My knees are better than ever



So does God still perform miracles today?

Absolutely.......every time someone gets saved it's a miracle of faith!

Those things you're talking about aren't "miracles"; that's just the natural forces of the Universe acting normally.



Miracles are you saying, "God, do this!" and your god does it.
Reply:ill prove that all of those are not miracles.

1. life repeating itself. What does that mean? reincarnation or something. yeah no proof of that.

2. single cells double. yes, this is a natural phenomenon known as mitosis. Its science.

3. The substance spiders create is a substance called...silk... yes, silk. but if a silk threads size and strength was mathmatically proportioned to the size of a stell fiber, then yes it would be stronger, but once it gets that size, steel beats it. So at a hair thin size, yes, silk is stronger. this is also proven by science.

4. Plants taking in sunlight is called photosynthesis and yes they give us all that stuff. we also give them carbon dioxide to live. we help eachother live.



So, in essence, these are all natural phenomenon easily described in science. Science is also able to tell how these things came about. There is no proof of 'god' doing this stuff. and these cant even be classified as miracles. if this is your example of a miracle the you have some pretty low standards. seriously man.... there is no god. what makes your god more real than any other god? Zues created lightning. so what disproves that? stop thinking naturally occuring phenomenon are products of your god. it can be any 'god' but most likely its just the way things are.
Reply:There are miracles and there are manifestations of God. Often times men mistake the two.



Miracles are things such as healings or turning water into wine.



I once came across a bird trapped in a room that released sulfer gas. It was very hot in this room. The bird had flown in the window and could not get out.



I tried to catch it to let it go, but after several failed attempts, I became frustrated and gave up.



Not long after I had gone back to taking readings, I seen the bird fly by out of the corner of my eye. I turned and it was on a handrail about fifty feet from me.



I felt the movement of the Holy Spirit and I said this. Father God, I pray you will help me catch this small creature of yours so it does not die in this room.



Often times birds flew in and died in the room.



Then I said, satan, I rebuke the fear you have in this small creature of God and command it to be gone in the name of Jesus.



Well the bird flew down to where it was about three feet in front of men and landed on the floor.



Now the man is back, the Holy Spirit has done his thing, and I am awe struck. The bird hopped towards me then about two feet behind me. I looked down at it and it was looking at me as to say, come on buddy, pick me up and set me free.



So I slowly reached for the bird, still thinking like a man, grabbed the bird and released it outside.



Now, I don't consider this a miracle, but a manifestation of the Holy Spirit to aid in my spiritual growth.

Reply:You're absolutely right. All of those things are truly great miracles. I assure you that miracles still happen today too in the same sense they did in Biblical times. We need not seek for them, however. First comes the trial of your faith and then comes the great reward. You can wait all your life saying I will not believe until I see but you will never see. If you live a life of faith believing in God and following his words, your eyes will be open and you will be able to see his influence in your life and many mighty works and miracles.

Reply:Miracles in "Torah Proportion" -[splitting of the sea, rocks descending from heaven and wiping out entire armies, fire descending and consuming people and sacrifices]-- No. But there are daily miracles. In Judaism, we thank the Creator daily, for allowing us to open our eyes, allowing us to stand, we even bless His name for the fact that we can use the bathroom, lol... When we see life with this perspective you'll and start to appreciate the little things more and more, and you'll find true meaning. Miracles are all around... You just have to be sensitive enough to connect with them.
