Is there anyway to repell spiders from the indoors without harsh chemicals?

For some reason, I get a lot of spiders in my house, and I am looking for a way to repell them. I don't want to "bug bomb" my house because of my cat and plants. Any suggestions would be great! Thank you!

I use sticky traps to catch them inside the house and some poison granules outside to repel them away from the house.

The sticky traps will go in areas that the cats can't reach and will catch lots of crawling things. I like 'Catchmaster' brand,, a little trap that folds up into a small box with open ends,, I put mine along the baseboard behind furniture and in closets and under cabinets,, they do a great job for me
Reply:There really isnt a way to repell spiders inside your home. Most pest control companies use a low pressure hand sprayer to spray around mop boards and behind furniture. Its such a light application that it isnt harmful. I'd much rather put up with a lil chemical than get bittin by a brown recluse spider.

Reply:I have heard Hedge Apples repell spiders and other small insects. I just drive around the country roads and pick them up and put them around my house and in the basement. Good Luck!!!
Reply:I've heard that you can put Bounce fabric softener sheets in the dark corners of your house where spiders might lurk and it repels them. The bonus is it leaves a nice smell. You can even use dryer sheets that have already been used in the dryer. I haven't tried this myself, but it seems plausible without a lot of risk. Good luck!
