I found these yellow %26amp; clear balls in the soil of my NEW prayer plant, they squish into liquid when pressure is applied, shortly after looking at them, I found a spider on my hand, could these be spider eggs? Or is it just fertilizer in the soil? I know spider mites are a known pest. Please help.
Prayer plant.. round yellow and clear balls everywhere in soil.. WHAT are they?!?
Alissa,
You're Prayer plant is not infested. They are like the others said, a time released fertilizer. Miracle Gro potting soils specifically use the clear and yellow balls. Happy Growing!
Reply:It's probably a time released fertilizer like Osmocote.
Reply:Your so Funny! Those are Bugs Eggs, Don't touch them! Not really, they are time released Plant Food. The growers add them in when they are potted. Did I scare You? Byeee
Reply:Clasp your hands in a prayer of rejoicement! It's fertilizer!
Reply:sounds like a fungi to me...t
Reply:It is fertilizer, it is hard to see spider mites never mind there eggs. Typically with spider mites the plant will yellow and webbing may be noticable.
