How can I restore my once healthy spider plant back to its former condition?

It was lovely once but the leaves seem to be lacklustre and are dying/going yellow quickly. What have I done wrong and what can I do to fix it?

How can I restore my once healthy spider plant back to its former condition?
there are a few things that might be wrong. The first that comes to mind concerns the yellow leaves, which is probably from too much water. The second is that the soil has become very compact, and need aeration. perhaps you haven't given it any food in a while..Miracle-gro is good. you shouldn't have to re-pot a spider plant often, as the babies grow from being pot bound. The last thing is to consider the available light. Spider plants need bright indirect light. Hope this helps

Reply:Lift the pot. Light = dry, aerate and water

Heavy = wet, allow to dry out

Geez spider plants are almost impossible to kill. Want more?
Reply:It almost sounds like to much water. Do you need to transplant into healtier dirt? I live in the south and I plant my babies in the ground and they grow like crazy. Good luck
Reply:Maybe watered too much? When my plant did that, I took Jerry Bakers advice... 1 quart water and a few drops of liquid dish soap. I put it in the sink and let it run through.
Reply:Maybe it's 'pot bound', try removing the dead leaves and putting into a larger pot, then water it with some 'baby-bio' in the water.
Reply:You have probably overwatered it take it out of the pot and dry it out fill the pot with new compost and replant
Reply:feed it some flies
